Nestled on the North Shore, Topsfield is a small rural town with a strong sense of community. It is the home of America’s oldest agricultural fair, the Topsfield Fair, and boasts of running rivers and rolling hills. You will also find the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, part of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. The town commons are surrounded by a Victorian Town Hall, the Congregational Church, and a Georgian library. Bradley Palmer State Park and the Willowdale State Forest constitute hundreds of acres of conservation land. Situated near the North Shore communities of Hamilton, infamous for the Myopia Hunt Club, and Wenham known to locals as “North Shore Horse Country,” and Manchester-by-the-Sea and Beverly, with their lovely beaches, Topsfield also has convenient access to Boston and Logan airport, only 20 miles to the south which add to the town’s desirability.
